Nuria Chiara Palazzi

PhD in Architecture –Structures and Conservation of Architecture and Cultural Heritage from the University of Firenze, Italy– and PhD in Engineering Science from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Engineering School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and at the Research Center for Integrated Disaster Risk Management (CIGIDEN), and is an assistant professor in the Master in Cultural Heritage at the School of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

His research areas include modeling and analysis of seismic fragility of heritage buildings in masonry and unreinforced masonry, on an urban and building scale, with a particular emphasis on traditional and local architectures, constructive-structural techniques.
