Matías Hube
Structural Civil Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) where he also obtained his Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences in 2002. He is a Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley.
He teaches and conducts research in reinforced concrete, seismic engineering, and bridge engineering at the PUC and has directed and participated in numerous research projects. He actively participates in seismic design code committees in Chile and is currently the secretary of the Puentes Chile Technical Committee. Additionally, he is a member of ACHISINA, EERI and ACI and since 2014 he has participated in subcommittee D of ACI 318 in the USA.
